In collaboration with the Minara Fellowship, we are pleased to announce a series of classes on the Essentials of Islam, focused on knowledge which it is personally obligatory (fard al-‘ayn) for each and every believer to attain. Classes will take place at the Makkah Learning Center: 814 Brandy Farms Lane, Gambrills, MD 21054. The Essentials classes will be followed at 10am by Imam Mikaeel’s Foundations classes. FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH (9:00-9:30am)

SHAFI’I FIQH (9:30-10:00am)

Description: Through this class, students will gain an understanding of Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) related to acts of worship. The class is based on a famous classical didactic text (matn) in Shafi’i law by Qadi Ahmad ibn al-Husayn al-Asfahani (Abu Shuja).
